According to the 2010 United States Census, Utah had an estimated population of 2,764,000.  Of these residents, about 31.5 percent were under 18 years of age, 59.5 percent were between 18 and 65 years old, and 9.0 percent were over 65 years old.  Roughly 50.2 percent of the state's population were males and 49.8 percent were females.  The median age of Utah residents was 29.2 years, compared to the median age of 37.2 years for all United States residents.
